| Cleveland 5/31 Photos Posted! |
|
Posted by Mark Hankins on 6.2.2008 @ 7:50pm |
|
There were a total of 211 pictures that were worthy of posting out of the 215 that I took at Cleveland. The official results aren't online yet and as soon as I can get them posted as soon as they post them, I'll get them on here.
These pictures aren't top quality and I ask that you do NOT post these on any website (MRM, 4M, MySpace, Facebook, etc) without my permission beforehand. I'm a driver also and I like pictures that are free online, but I still ask for permission. Either way, if you steal it, you get the STW text on there anyway, lol! If you want to use these, ask for my permission. If you want an avatar out of one, ask me and I'll make it happen, but by all means, ASK ME FIRST!

| Cleveland Speedway 5/31 Photos Coming |
|
Posted by Mark Hankins on 6.1.2008 @ 3:42pm |
|
I just wanted to let everybody know that I was at Cleveland Speedway last night and took a total of 215 shots. My camera didn't do so good at night so if those pictures don't turn out like I want, they will not be posted, but if I can get them to turn out decen, I'll post all of them thats worthy. I'm not feeling too good today so I probably won't be able to do anything to any of them today so it'll be tomorrow or Tuesday before any are posted.
I'll try to get the results later if I feel better, if not, I'll do it all tomorrow or Tuesday. The racing at Cleveland was good, 2 cars wound up on their sides and one driver was taken to the hospital. No further details on his condition.
Thanks for understanding and reading!!

| Short Track Warriors is proud to announce.. |
|
Posted by Mark Hankins on 5.29.2008 @ 5:02pm |
|
First off, this isn't the announcement, this is just a disclaimer. The announcement is below. This may not be anything big to some of you, but it is to me, Short Track Warriors, and all the drivers profiles we have. First off, I'd like to apologize to all drivers. I had some problems with the profile layouts and I've worked the past couple of hours to iron out the problems. I've overhauled all the driver profile pages. If you have a profile without a picture, I urge you to send me a picture to mark@shorttrackwarriors.com. Make sure you get permission first to send me the photo, from the photo owner. If theres a photo from MRM or 3 Wheelin' photos, you can send them on because MRM and 3 Wheelin photos have both agreed to let me use their photos.
I am announcing that I have started an "Our Drivers" affiliation (if you call it that) with a couple of drivers. Now, these 2 drivers have paid me for their profile upgrades, however, I will be choosing certain drivers to be considered "Our Drivers". I've carefully selected Ross White of the Limited/Sportsman Late Models class, and Steve Welch of the Pure Street class. I'll try to get some small stickers made for these two drivers to put on their cars.
As far as stickers for the rest of you guys, I've gotten some requests for stickers but I can't make them the way I want them and I can't afford them right now, so you guys will have to sit tight if you want stickers to show your support of Short Track Warriors. As far as driver affiliations, I think I'll probably pick 2 drivers from each class.

| FASTRAK @ The Mountain May 17th, 24th, 31st! |
|
Posted by Mark Hankins on 5.17.2008 @ 10:00am |
|
Mountain Raceway Park will host the FASTRAK late model weekly series for the next three weeks starting this Saturday May 17th. All FASTRAK competitors will be allowed to receive their weekly points toward the City Chevrolet National Weekly Championship.
"I'm excited about this opportunity" said Mountain Raceway Park Promoter Kevin Coffey. "FASTRAK held night two of their Grand Nationals here last year and to be honest with you I was surprised. It was some of the best late model racing I have ever seen. This will give our fans a 'taste' of the FASTRAK late models and some great racing".
After the three week period the FASTRAK late models will return to Bulls Gap TN when the Volunteer Speedway reopens.
In the interim period FASTRAK teams may go to Tazewell Speedway, Wythe Raceway or Mountain Raceway Park to earn their valuable weekly points.
"I appreciate Kevin working with us during this three week period stated Stan Lester of FASTRAK. "This gives teams three choices during this time with Tazewell, Wythe and now Mountain".
All three tracks utilize 100% FASTRAK rules including tires.
